About Procare Healthcare
We are Procare Healthcare, and we support adults in their own homes in Oxford and across Oxfordshire. We work with people of all ages and build each package around the individual rather than offering something fixed. Our support covers older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals and shopping, and adults living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at a predictable time achieves more than any technique. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, where predictable routines and clear information given in good time matter enormously, and people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and over how somebody prefers to be assisted. Many of those we support are younger adults who want help that steps back as they take on more themselves. Everything starts with a visit at home and a proper conversation, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. The plan is written with the person, it records what matters to them and not only which tasks need doing, and it is reviewed when circumstances change. We keep rotas as consistent as we can and we tell people when we are running late. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
