About Office
We are a home care agency working in Oxford and the surrounding area. Our support goes to adults with a learning disability, to autistic adults and to people with physical disabilities, in their own homes. Our starting point is that the person is in charge of their own life and we are there to make it work. Support is planned with them, in a form they understand, and it is built around what they want to be doing rather than around a list of tasks. That might mean help to keep a tenancy going, to cook, shop and manage money, to get to work, college or the places they enjoy, to keep on top of health appointments, or to have somebody steady alongside them in situations they find difficult. Personal care is part of it for some people and not for others. Where somebody does not use speech, we take the time to learn how they do communicate and make sure everyone supporting them knows it, because a worker who misreads a person creates problems that need never exist. Keeping teams small and consistent follows from the same thinking. Where a person wants to need us less over time, we treat that as the aim and plan for it openly. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please get in touch to talk things through.
