About Jes Care Services
Jes Care supports people in their own homes across Oxford and the surrounding area. We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental ill health and people with physical disabilities. We begin with a conversation rather than a form. How does the day actually go at the moment? What is genuinely difficult and what is fine? Who else is already helping, and what do they need from us? From there we agree what support would work, put it in plain writing and get on with it. We would rather start with less and build up than arrive with a package that takes over somebody's home. For some people the support is practical, with washing, dressing, medication, meals and shopping. For others it is about keeping a tenancy and a routine going through a hard stretch, getting to appointments, managing paperwork and having somebody reliable who notices how things are going. Continuity matters more than almost anything else we do, so we send the same carers to the same homes, introduce people properly and listen when somebody tells us a match is not working.
