About Elmthorpe Convent Domiciliary Care
Elmthorpe Convent Domiciliary Care supports people in their own homes in Oxford and the surrounding area. We work with older people, with people living with dementia and with people who have physical disabilities. Our aim is simple enough. Most people would rather stay in their own home, among their own things and their own routines, and our job is to make that possible for as long as it safely can be. What that takes varies. It might be a call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication, support at several points through the day with meals and mobility, help with shopping, laundry and the paperwork that quietly mounts up, or company and a hand to get out of the house. We plan care with the person and with whoever they want involved, set it out in plain language and review it honestly as needs change. We say so when we think someone requires more support than can safely be given at home. Continuity is what families judge us on and rightly so. We keep the same carers going to the same people, arrive when we said we would and telephone if we are running late. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. If you would like to talk through support at home in Oxford, please get in touch and we will arrange to visit you.
