About Calvary Care
Calvary Care in Oxford provides support at home to people across the city and the surrounding area. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs, physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, and with younger adults. We plan each package around the person rather than offering a set list of options. Some people want a short call in the morning to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely. Others need support at several points, with meals, mobility, the laundry and the house, or help to get out to appointments, work and the people who matter. For younger adults and for people with a learning disability, the work is often about making independent living practical. We visit before anything begins, agree the plan with the person and anyone they want present, write it in plain words and review it as circumstances change. We are honest when we think somebody needs more support than can safely be provided at home. Keeping the same carers going to the same households is something we work at, because familiarity is how a carer comes to notice that somebody is not themselves. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
