About SeeAbility - Support Service
We support adults in their own homes across Bicester and the surrounding parts of Oxfordshire. Everything we do starts in the place where people already feel most themselves, which is why our first conversation is always about how someone wants their day to run rather than about what we happen to offer. Much of our experience lies in supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people, and we also work alongside adults living with mental health needs, physical disabilities and sight or hearing loss. Some of the people we visit are older and want a steady hand with washing, dressing, medicines and meals. Others are younger adults building independence for the first time, where our job is to be present without taking over. We help people get out into their community, hold on to the routines that matter to them and communicate in whatever way works best for them. We match support workers thoughtfully and keep the same faces coming through the door, because trust takes time to build between a person and those who support them, and it is easily lost. Families are welcome to raise anything with us at any point, and we would far rather hear about a small problem early than a large one later. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are honest with anyone considering us about what we can and cannot provide, and we are always happy to talk things through before any commitment is made.
