About Centurion House
Centurion House provides care and support to people in their own homes in Bicester and the surrounding area. We support older people and younger adults who need some help to carry on living where they are. The work is practical and we try to do it dependably. Help to get up, washed and dressed in the morning, and help to settle at night. Support with medication. Meals prepared, shopping fetched, the house kept in reasonable order. Company for somebody who would otherwise spend the day alone, and a hand to get to appointments or out for a change of air. Some people want a great deal of help and some want very little and would rather we did not take over the rest, and we write the plan around which it actually is. The things families tell us they notice are simple ones. Carers who come when they said they would. Carers who stay the agreed time instead of rushing off. The same faces week after week, so that nobody has to explain their own household to a stranger. A phone that is answered. We plan our rounds locally so that those are promises we can keep. Everybody who works for us is checked and trained before they visit anyone, and they have senior colleagues they can actually reach. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall, and we are glad to talk with no obligation.
