About The Care Workshop
The Care Workshop supports people in their own homes in Banbury and across Oxfordshire. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, autistic adults and people with a learning disability, people managing mental ill health and younger adults building the life they want. Our approach is more practical than philosophical. We sit down with the person, work out what is going well, what is not and what they would like to be different, and then agree what we will do about it. That might be help to get up and dressed, support with medication, cooking and eating, or it might be having somebody alongside to get to college, to work or to the shops. Plans get reviewed when life changes, not annually out of habit. We keep our teams small and local so people see familiar faces and do not spend their week explaining themselves again. Staff train before they work alone, are supervised on the job and are encouraged to raise concerns straight away. Our office answers the phone. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall, which we take as a starting point rather than a result. If you are considering support at home around Banbury, please ring and we will come out, talk it through honestly and tell you if we are not the right fit.
