About Joy2care

Joy2care provides care and support in people's own homes across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We visit older people, adults living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults who need help to manage day to day life. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Home care is a practical business. It comes down to someone arriving when they said they would, knowing how a person takes their tea, noticing that the fridge is emptier than it should be and doing something about it. We build visits around what the person actually needs, whether that is a short call to help with medication and breakfast or a longer visit covering personal care, meals, laundry and company. The plan is agreed with the person, written in plain language and reviewed whenever circumstances change. We keep rounds local and teams small so that people see familiar faces. Carers are trained before working unsupervised, and senior staff carry out spot checks, supervision and reviews rather than assuming all is well. When someone's needs change we say so and adjust, and where a different kind of support would serve someone better we will tell you. Families often carry a great deal, and good home care should lighten that rather than add to it. Please get in touch if you would like to talk it through.
