About Compassion Care
Compassion Care supports people in their own homes across Nottingham and the surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire. We work with older people and younger adults, including many clients living with dementia. Most people who approach us want to stay exactly where they are, and with the right practical help that is usually achievable. We begin by asking what has become hard and what a person would prefer to manage alone. Our visits might then cover help to wash and dress, support with medication, preparing meals, laundry and housework, shopping, or a call at the end of the day so that someone settles safely. For clients living with dementia, familiarity does most of the work. We aim to send the same carers at the same times, because a known face at a known hour is reassuring rather than unsettling. It also means our staff spot changes early, whether that is eating less, sleeping badly or becoming unsteady, and we raise those concerns promptly. We take punctuality seriously, because waiting for a carer who has not arrived is worse than having no visit arranged at all. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss support at home.
