We support a fairly broad range of needs, and what links the work is shaping the support around the person rather than around a category. Our carers visit older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals and mobility, and we support people living with dementia, where familiar rooms and routines do so much of the work on their own. We also work with people managing mental health conditions, people living with a physical disability, people who have sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Our team additionally supports people living with an eating disorder, work that depends on patience, consistency and the absence of judgement rather than anything clever. Support is agreed with the person, includes what they would rather manage themselves, and is reviewed as circumstances change. We aim to send familiar carers, because trust is what allows somebody to be honest about how they are actually getting on. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we prefer to say so plainly.
