About Walfinch
Walfinch Mansfield provides care at home for people in Mansfield and the surrounding area. Our visits are built around the person rather than around a list of tasks, and they can be anything from a short daily call to several hours of support at a time. For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out and about. Often the most valuable part of a visit is the company: sitting down properly with somebody and not rushing off. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting, work with the routine that already suits the household and avoid rearranging a home somebody knows well. We support adults with mental health needs, where reliability does most of the good, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely and manage at home. Where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always say who we are. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments.
