About Manor Park
Manor Park provides care in people's own homes across Newham and the surrounding parts of east London, supporting older people, adults living with dementia, adults with a physical disability and younger adults who need help to live independently. Most of the people we visit want the same thing, which is to stay where they are, among their own belongings and neighbours, with just enough support to make that safe. So we build our visits around the person rather than the rota. That might mean a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and breakfast, help with medication through the day, a hand with shopping, meals and laundry, or a longer visit that gives a family carer a few hours of their own. Where someone is living with dementia, we try to send the same familiar faces, because a routine and a recognised voice at the door do more good than almost anything else we can offer. We agree a plan with the person and their family before we start, we review it when needs change, and we tell relatives promptly if we notice something is not right, whether that is a fall, a lost appetite or a mood that has shifted. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. In the meantime we are glad to put you in touch with the people we already support, and to talk through exactly what we can and cannot do before you commit to anything.
