About Lifepaths Care
Lifepaths Care supports people in their own homes across Newham and neighbouring parts of east London. Those we visit include older people, adults living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, adults with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. Our view is that care should fit into somebody's life rather than replace it. A support plan that reads like a schedule of tasks has usually lost sight of the person it was written for. So we start by asking what a good day looks like, what somebody is still perfectly capable of and wants to keep doing, and where help would genuinely make a difference. Consistency then does most of the work. The same small team visiting the same household, long enough to learn the habits, the moods and the early signs that something is not right. In a busy part of London it is easy for a provider to treat calls as interchangeable slots, and we think that approach is the root of most of what goes wrong in this industry. We also plan our rotas around real travel times, because a visit that arrives an hour late has already failed the person waiting for it. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are happy to be questioned closely about training, supervision and complaints. Please ring us and ask.
