We are in somebody else's home, as a guest, and we try to behave that way. We knock and wait. We ask before moving anything. We put things back where they belong. We do not rearrange a kitchen because it would suit the way we work. Practically we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and keeping a household in order, and we aim that help at what has genuinely become difficult. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so than let the silence speak for us. Families are welcome to ask how we recruit, train and check our carers, to meet the people who would be visiting, and to judge us on what they find.
