We are a home care team based in Chatham, supporting people in their own homes across Medway. Our work is deliberately straightforward. We help older people and younger adults with the parts of daily life that have become difficult, so that moving somewhere else does not become the only option. That might mean a call in the morning to help someone wash, dress and get their day started. It might mean support with medication, preparing meals, keeping on top of the house, or getting out to appointments and into town. For people who live alone, the visit itself matters as much as the tasks, and we do not rush through it as if company were an extra. Before we start, we sit down with the person and anyone they want present, and we agree what the support should cover. We put it in writing and we go back to it when things change. We try to send the same carers each time, because familiarity makes the whole arrangement easier and safer. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with them and inspected under the same framework as any other provider in Medway.
