About The Old Mill
The Old Mill provides care and support to people in their own homes in Spalding and the surrounding parts of Lincolnshire. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, and people with a physical disability or with sight or hearing loss. Most of the people who come to us are trying to stay where they are. They want their own home, their own routines and as much independence as they can keep, and they need practical help to make that realistic. That is what we provide, and we take care not to take over the things somebody can still manage. Our visits may cover help with getting up and going to bed, washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, and keeping on top of shopping, laundry and the house. For some people we also provide support to get out to appointments and activities. Rural rounds only work if they are planned properly, so we build the rota with travel in mind and keep the same carers visiting the same households wherever we can. Our staff are trained and supervised, and we keep families and other professionals informed. If you would like to discuss care at home in this area, please ring us.
