LJM Homecare in Lincoln provides care and support to people in their own homes across the city and the surrounding area. We work with older people, with younger adults and with people whose sight or hearing loss makes daily life harder than it needs to be. Our aim is to make staying at home a realistic option rather than a daily struggle. For some people that means a short call each morning to help with getting up, washed and dressed, and perhaps a visit at bedtime. For others it is longer and more frequent support covering personal care, help with medication, preparing meals and drinks, moving about safely, and keeping on top of shopping, laundry and the house. Where somebody has lost sight or hearing, consistency matters even more than usual. Keeping things where they belong, describing what is happening, speaking clearly and sending the same familiar carers all make an enormous difference, and we train our staff to get those details right. We take timekeeping seriously and keep families informed, working alongside GPs, community nurses and social workers where they are involved.
