About Thera South West
Thera South West supports adults living with learning disabilities and autism in their own homes in and around Grantham, Lincolnshire, including younger adults and older people. Support at home should widen a life rather than manage it down, and that idea decides most of what we do. We begin with what a person wants their week to contain, what they can already do, where they would like to become more independent and where they genuinely need somebody alongside them. The plan follows from that, rather than starting with a list of tasks and fitting the person around it. Day to day our staff help with the ordinary business of running a home and a life. Cooking, shopping, money, appointments, travel, college, work and keeping up with family and friends, alongside personal care where it is needed. Communication is planned around each individual, because choice only becomes real when somebody is properly understood. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
