About Visiting Angels Doncaster & Bassetlaw

Visiting Angels Doncaster and Bassetlaw supports people in their own homes across the Gainsborough, Doncaster and Bassetlaw area. We work with people living with dementia and with people who have physical disabilities, providing care at home for those who would far rather stay where they are. We build our visits around companionship as much as tasks. A rushed call that gets the jobs done and nothing else is not much use to somebody who has spent the day alone, so our visits are long enough for a proper conversation, a cup of tea and a walk out if that is what the person wants, alongside help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and the house. Matching matters to us. We introduce carers properly before they start and then keep the same small team going into each home, because trust takes time and familiarity is what allows a carer to notice that somebody is quieter, less steady or eating less than usual. For people living with dementia, that continuity is worth more than anything else we can offer. Support is planned with the person and their family, written in plain language and reviewed honestly as needs change. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
