About Integrated Family Support
Integrated Family Support works with people across Lewisham in their own homes, and as the name suggests we try to work with a household rather than around it. Support that ignores the family around a person tends not to last. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss. A great deal of what we do is about independence rather than dependence. Where somebody can take on more for themselves, whether that is cooking, getting about, managing money or getting into work or study, we would rather spend the time helping them get there than doing it for them because it is quicker. Keeping the same workers with the same people matters, because being properly known makes it far easier for somebody to say when things are not going well. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat that as the standard to maintain rather than a badge to display. If you are looking into support of this kind, we are glad to talk it through honestly.
