About Carepoint Services

Carepoint provides care in people's own homes across Lewisham and neighbouring parts of London. We support older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, people managing mental health conditions, and people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment. Because the people we work with are so varied, we plan individually rather than offering set packages. We meet the person, and anyone they want with them, agree what would genuinely help, and write it down in plain language so that every carer who visits works to the same understanding. Support may be personal care, medication and meals, or it may be wider, covering household tasks, shopping, appointments, getting out of the house, or keeping a routine together that has become hard to manage alone. We think carefully about who we send. In a person's own home, language, cultural background, gender and personality matter as much as the tasks on the plan, and we take account of them when building a rota. We aim for small, consistent teams and for arriving when we said we would. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. With the person's agreement we keep families informed and raise concerns early with health professionals.
