We are Rosebuds Care, and we support adults in their own homes in Loughborough and the surrounding parts of Leicestershire. Our visits range from a single short call each day through to several hours of support, arranged to fit the person's routine rather than our convenience. We help older people with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and the household jobs that become harder with time. We support adults living with dementia, where familiar faces arriving at predictable times do more good than anything else we can offer, so we keep the same care workers with the same households as far as the rota allows. We also support people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and over how each person prefers to be assisted, and younger adults who want help that reduces as their confidence grows. Everything starts with a visit and a proper conversation at home, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. We agree what the calls are for, what must never be missed and what the person would rather manage alone, and we write it down and review it honestly.
