About Assisted Medicare Services
Assisted Medicare is a home care agency in Loughborough, supporting people in their own homes across Leicestershire. We work with older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people who have a physical disability. Nearly everybody we meet at a first visit says the same thing: they want to stay in their own home. Making that realistic for as long as it is safe and genuinely the better option is the whole of our purpose. In practice it means help to get up, washed and dressed in a way that leaves a person feeling like themselves, medication managed and recorded properly, meals actually cooked, help to move safely about a house that may no longer suit its occupant, and a reliable person turning up in a week that could otherwise hold very little. For families who have been carrying a situation alone, it also means a proper break. We are stubborn about sending the same carers to the same people. That continuity is the mechanism rather than the presentation: a carer who knows somebody notices the untouched food, the new bruise, the change in mood or the pile of unopened post. For people living with dementia, familiarity and an unhurried pace work better than explanation. For people with a physical disability, we learn how that individual wants to be helped to move. The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. Call us and we will be plain about what we can and cannot do.

More about the care at Assisted Medicare Services
Dementia Care at Assisted Medicare Services
Familiarity and an unhurried pace work better than explanation, this agency says of dementia support, and that is the correct order of priorities. A carer who is recognised at the door can get on with helping rather than reassuring, which is most of what a half hour is for. Good support also means not correcting a mistaken belief for its own sake and coming back later when a wash is refused. Ask what dementia training the carers have actually completed. Ask how distress is handled, and how the plan is revised as the condition moves on.
Home Care at Assisted Medicare Services
Assisted Medicare has been registered since 15 October 2026, which leaves a family with the agency's own account and nothing inspected. Home care means visits at agreed times in a person's own house, which is the alternative to a care home while that remains safe and the better option. Rates across the East Midlands typically run from £26 to £31 an hour, and Leicestershire will assess and may fund a package. The agency says continuity is the mechanism rather than the presentation, which is the right way to think about rotas. Ask how visits are recorded, how often the plan is reviewed, and who a relative telephones at the weekend.
Older Person Care at Assisted Medicare Services
The pile of unopened post is one of the things a familiar carer notices, according to this agency, along with untouched food, a new bruise or a change in mood. That is a fair description of what older person care is actually for, beyond help to get up, washed and dressed, medication managed and recorded, and meals actually cooked. Assisted Medicare says it is stubborn about sending the same carers to the same people, which is the claim most worth testing. Ask how many different carers would come in a fortnight and how long each visit lasts. Ask what the agency can cover in the evening, since overnight support in Loughborough would be a separate arrangement.
Younger Adults at Assisted Medicare Services
Leicestershire would assess and may fund a package, at rates in the county typically between £26 and £31 an hour. For an adult under sixty five the question is whether the visits fit around work, study and a social life rather than setting the shape of the day. Ask whether call times can move with a timetable, and whether the same small team can be kept.
Physical Disability at Assisted Medicare Services
Help to get up, washed and dressed in a way that leaves a person feeling like themselves is this agency's own phrasing, and with a physical disability the technique is most of it. Transfers and moving safely about a house that may no longer suit its occupant are the rest. Ask whether carers are trained on the equipment already in place, and who arranges a review when mobility changes.
