We keep the group of carers visiting each household small and familiar. Personal care is far easier to accept from someone you know, and a regular carer is the first to notice that a person is eating less, sleeping badly or becoming confused. We expect those concerns to reach us on the day so that we can involve a relative or the GP early. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss, we take the time that requires. That means checking aids are working and worn, keeping things well lit and clear, and giving people the chance to answer properly.
