About 360 CAMHS Midlands
We are a specialist team supporting children and young people at home across Leicester, Leicestershire and the wider Midlands, working with those who have a learning disability or autism and with young people whose mental health needs significant support. Our work sits alongside families rather than above them, because parents know their own child better than any professional does and support only works if it fits the household it is going into. What we provide depends entirely on the young person and the family. It might be practical help with routines and personal care, support at the parts of the day that are hardest, or help managing the gaps around school and college. For many families the greatest value is a reliable pair of hands at a predictable time, so that the rest of family life has room to happen. We take time to understand how a young person communicates, which is frequently not through speech, and we are led by what they show us as well as by what parents tell us. We work closely with schools, therapists, community health and social work colleagues, because support for a young person with complex needs falls apart when nobody is joining it up. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and we are glad to be asked about our training, our staffing and how we handle concerns. If your family would like to talk about support, please get in touch.
