About Gleberry Support
Gleberry Support Hinckley provides care and support in people's own homes across Hinckley and the surrounding part of Leicestershire. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with physical disabilities, younger adults, and people dealing with difficulties around alcohol or drugs. We resist offering one pattern of support and hoping it fits, because the people we work with want very different things. Someone rebuilding their life after a period of heavy drinking needs something quite unlike someone in the later stages of dementia, and each deserves an arrangement built around them. So we listen first, put it in plain language, and go back to it honestly instead of filing it. Where the work is sensitive we take our time and we do not judge. Recovery rarely runs in a straight line, and being reliable on the difficult weeks is most of what we are for. We work alongside health teams and specialist services rather than duplicating them. Plenty of what we do is more everyday: personal care, medication, meals, mobility, household jobs, shopping, appointments and company, from carers the household already knows. We keep teams small so that continuity is real rather than aspirational. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. We keep asking the people we support whether that still describes us.
