About YourLife

We are a home care provider based in Lancaster, supporting people across Lancashire in their own homes. Most of the people we visit are older, and what they want from us tends to be the same thing described in different words, which is to carry on living where they are without the daily effort of it becoming too much. Our visits cover personal care, help with medication, meals and the everyday tasks that quietly grow difficult. We also support people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults whose needs are different again. Where sight or hearing is poor we take trouble over communication, checking that aids are working and making sure nobody is talked around rather than spoken to. For people living with dementia, consistency counts for more than anything else we could offer, so we treat steady rotas as a priority rather than a bonus and keep the same carers going to the same households. Our staff are trained for the conditions they will meet, and a senior colleague is always reachable when a visit raises something unexpected.
