About Avenues South East Services (ASES)
We are Avenues South East, based in West Malling and providing support to adults in their own homes and in their communities across Kent. Much of our work is with adults who have learning disabilities or are autistic, and with people living with mental health conditions. We also support older people, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who want help to live independently. What most of the people we work with have in common is a wish for an ordinary life, with the same choices about where to live and how to spend their time as anybody else, and support that makes that possible rather than managing it for them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of it and clear about what it means. It is not a promise that nothing will ever go wrong. It reflects the fact that we know the people we support well, that our staff are properly supported, and that when something needs putting right we deal with it rather than explaining it away. We also take positive risk seriously. Protecting somebody from every possible setback would protect them from most of what makes life worth having.
