About Priory Supported Living
Priory Supported Living Kent supports people in their own homes and tenancies across Dover and the surrounding area. We work with autistic adults and adults with a learning disability, people managing mental ill health, younger adults and older people. Supported living only works if it genuinely belongs to the person. The tenancy is theirs, the home is theirs, and our job is to provide the support that makes living there realistic rather than to run the place. So we start from what somebody wants their life to contain. A job, a course, a relationship, a routine that they set themselves, time with family, a week that is not decided by other people. From there we work out the practical support. Help with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and appointments. Managing medication safely. Somebody alongside in situations that would otherwise be too much. Support to travel and get out. We write it down in a form the person can use and we change it as they move on. Consistency matters more than anything clever, so we keep teams familiar, give plenty of notice about changes and communicate in the way that actually reaches each person. We work closely with families, social workers and community health teams. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Enquiries and referrals across east Kent are welcome, and we are happy to talk through what we can and cannot offer.
