About Thrive Homecare
We provide care at home in Canterbury and the surrounding parts of Kent. Those we support include older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use. With a range that wide, manner counts as much as skill. A number of the people we work with have been judged rather than helped in the past, and a carer who arrives with views about how somebody came to need support is worse than useless to them. We recruit and supervise with that in mind rather than hoping it takes care of itself. We start by asking what the person wants changed and what they want left alone. Plans are agreed rather than issued, and they get revisited when circumstances move, which they usually do. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so than leave the gap to speak for itself. Until then, judge us on what we can show you: how we recruit, who we send, and what the people we already visit say.
