About Ashvine Care
Ashvine Care provides care at home for people in Canterbury and the surrounding parts of Kent. Our visits range from a short call to get the day started through to several each day, and what we do is agreed with the person rather than offered as a fixed package. For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out to appointments or to see friends. We also watch for the quieter changes, a poor appetite, a low mood, somebody less steady on their feet, and we raise them early with the family or the doctor rather than waiting to be asked. Where somebody is living with dementia we send the same care workers wherever the rota allows, work with the routine that already exists and leave the home arranged as the person knows it. We support adults with mental health needs, where turning up reliably and without judgement is the most useful thing we do, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely and manage day to day. We also support younger adults, fitting visits around work, study and family life. Our care workers are trained for the people they visit, and we keep teams as settled as the rota allows because a familiar face at the door changes how a visit goes. Please ring us if you would like to talk about support at home here.
