Safe
People told inspectors they felt safe using the service. They were confident in the knowledge and skills of staff, especially with moving and handling and managing medicines.
Effective
Inspectors found that staff received training that suited their roles. This helped them give care in the way people wanted. Staff contacted health and social care professionals when this was needed.
Caring
People and their relatives spoke positively about the kind nature of staff and the relationships they had built. Inspectors found that people were treated with dignity and respect. People had regular staff who knew how they liked to be supported, and staff encouraged them to keep their independence.
Responsive
Inspectors found that people received care based on their own assessment, needs and preferences. Reviews were carried out when staff reported changes to a person's health. People and their relatives knew who to contact if they wanted to complain.
Well-led
Inspectors found that the provider promoted an open and honest culture. People and their relatives were confident in how the service was managed. The provider and registered manager checked the quality of care on an ongoing basis and made changes to improve the service.
