We are Beech Tree Total Care in Ashford, providing support to people in their own homes and in extra care housing across Ashford and the surrounding part of Kent. Our work is for people who need help with daily life and would far rather stay somewhere they recognise as home. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people who have a learning disability, autistic people, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. Visits may cover personal care, support with medication, preparing meals, help with mobility and moving safely about the home, household tasks, company, and support to get out to appointments or to something a person simply enjoys. Support is agreed with the person before anything begins. We ask what the day needs to look like, what they want help with and what they would rather manage themselves, and we involve family and other professionals as far as the person wishes. Plans are written down plainly and reviewed when needs change. We keep the same small team around each person wherever we can, and our staff are trained for the clients they visit. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are regulated by them and are building the planning, training and oversight that a good rating properly requires.
