About Optimam Complex Care
Optimam Complex Care supports people in their own homes in and around Waltham Cross, across Hertfordshire and the neighbouring area. As the name suggests, a good part of our work involves needs that are complicated, where several things are going on at once and a standard package of visits would not be enough. We support older adults, younger adults, people with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental health conditions, those with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Complex care asks for staff who are trained for one person's particular needs rather than trained in general, so that is how we do it. Where someone requires a specific routine, a specific technique or a specific piece of equipment, the people who visit them learn it properly before they start. It also asks for reliability. Families living with complex needs have usually spent years coordinating other people, and the last thing they need is another service to chase. We try to be the part of the week that simply happens. We keep families involved as much as they want to be, and out of the way when that is what is wanted instead. Both are valid. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you are arranging care for yourself or a relative, we are glad to talk through what would actually be needed.
