About HF Trust Herts and Essex
HF Trust in Hertfordshire and Essex provides care and support to people in their own homes across the Bishops Stortford area and beyond. We work with adults who have a learning disability, with autistic adults, with younger adults and with older people. The point of what we do is to help people live the life they want in their own home. For some of the people we support, that means help with personal care, meals and medication. For others it is support with cooking, shopping, laundry, budgeting and paperwork, or help to get to work, college, appointments and activities. Very often it is a mixture, and the balance changes as somebody gains confidence and skills. Support is agreed with the person, written in language they can use, and reviewed properly rather than left to run on unchanged. Where somebody becomes more independent, we step back, because support that is no longer needed gets in the way. Our staff are trained for the needs they support and kept consistent wherever possible, so that people are not repeatedly explaining themselves to somebody new.
