About Your Own Home Care
We provide care at home in Tring and the surrounding area, supporting older people and younger adults who need help to manage in their own houses and flats. Our work is simple to describe and particular in the doing. We send trained carers to people who need a hand, and we arrange that help around the life somebody already has rather than around our own convenience. For some people a single visit each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication is all that is needed. Others need calls through the day and into the evening, help with meals and shopping, and support to move about the house safely. We agree what is needed with the person and whoever they want involved, then keep checking that it still fits. Continuity is the part we work hardest at. Care at home only goes well when the person and the carer know one another. A carer who has visited for months notices the small changes that signal somebody is becoming unwell or low in spirits, and the person is spared explaining themselves to a stranger. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they want advice. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are considering care at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch and we will be honest about what we can take on.
