About Lead Care Services
Lead Care supports people in their own homes in Stevenage and across Hertfordshire. We work with older people and with younger adults, and our experience takes in dementia, learning disabilities and autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and sight and hearing loss. Every arrangement begins with a conversation and an assessment at home, because you cannot plan good care from a desk. We want to know how the house works, who else is involved, what the person manages perfectly well without us, and where help would make the real difference. Out of that comes a plan we agree together, which might be a single daily call or support several times a day, with help for personal care, medication, meals, shopping, appointments and getting out and about. We put a lot of weight on continuity. Being washed and dressed by someone is a close thing to allow, and it is far easier when the person at the door is familiar. We keep teams small and local, and if we have to send someone new we say so in advance. Our staff are trained for the care they give, including dementia care, and they are supervised rather than left to work it out alone. We talk straight with families, early, about anything that concerns us. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
