About Domiciliary Care Agency
We are Hertfordshire Domiciliary Care Agency, and we support adults in their own homes in Stevenage and across the county. We come to you, at times that suit your day, and we do what is needed so that living at home remains realistic. Much of our work is with adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and with people living with mental ill health, including many younger adults who are building a life of their own. We also support people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. In practice that covers personal care where it is needed, medication, health appointments, cooking, shopping, cleaning, budgeting and keeping a tenancy going. Just as importantly, it covers the things that make a week worth having, whether that is work, a course, a club, the gym or seeing friends and family. Our aim is to work out what somebody can do, what they want to learn and where they genuinely need us, and then to step back wherever stepping back is right. We pay close attention to how each person communicates and to what makes a day feel manageable, and we record what works so it is not lost when the rota changes. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
