About Sama Healthcare
We are Sama Healthcare, and we support adults in their own homes in St Albans and across Hertfordshire. We work with people of all ages and build each package around the individual rather than offering something fixed. Our support covers older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals and shopping, and adults living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at a predictable time achieves more than any technique. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. A good number of those we support are younger adults who want help that steps back as they take on more themselves. Everything starts with a visit at home and a proper conversation, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. The plan is written with the person, it says what matters to them and not only which tasks need doing, and it is reviewed when circumstances change. We keep rotas as consistent as we can and we tell people when we are running late. Our care workers are recruited with full checks, trained before working alone and properly supervised. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us to talk it through.
