About Nyadowa Care
Nyadowa Care supports people in their own homes in Potters Bar and the surrounding parts of Hertfordshire. We work with older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic people, people living with a mental health condition, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. We are not interested in delivering a standard package. Every arrangement starts at somebody's kitchen table, with a conversation about how they live, what has become difficult, what they would rather keep doing themselves and what they would happily hand over. The care plan comes out of that conversation, and it is rewritten when the person's circumstances change rather than at a date chosen in advance. Continuity is the part we guard most closely. Being helped to wash by someone you know is a completely different experience from being helped by a stranger, and for anyone living with dementia a familiar face prevents a great deal of distress before it starts. We keep teams small and we introduce new staff properly. We are also plain with families. If something has gone wrong, we say so. If a package has stopped being right, we raise it rather than carrying on. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you are working out what support might help in Potters Bar or nearby, we are happy to come out and talk it through with no obligation.
