Relieved Healthcare provides care and support to people in their own homes in Hitchin and across Hertfordshire. We work with older people, younger adults, people managing mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. We are there to make something possible that has become difficult, not to take charge of somebody's life. It is their home and their routine, and we fit around it. That sounds obvious, but a great deal of home care is arranged the other way round and people notice. Support starts with a visit and a proper conversation about what is genuinely hard. From that we agree a plan with the person, and with family or an advocate if they want them involved, covering what help is wanted, when and by whom. We revise it when circumstances change rather than at arbitrary intervals. Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals and drinks, housework, shopping, getting to appointments, and company for people who are on their own a good deal. Where somebody has a physical disability we look carefully at transfers, equipment and how the home is arranged, and we make sure the people visiting are trained for it. Where somebody is managing a mental health condition, we keep support consistent and we work alongside their community team.
