About Love&Care
Love and Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Borehamwood and the surrounding part of Hertfordshire. We work with older people, with younger adults, with people living with dementia and with people whose physical disability makes daily life harder than it should be. The people who ring us are usually at the point where things have started to slip, perhaps with meals being missed, medication getting muddled or washing and dressing becoming the hardest part of the day. Our job is to put that right with as little disruption as possible so that somebody can carry on living in their own home. Visits can cover personal care, prompting and support with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, and practical tasks such as shopping, laundry and keeping the house in order. Some people need one call a day and others need several. For people living with dementia, we send the same carers wherever we can and take time to learn a person's history and routines, because familiarity reduces distress more effectively than anything else available to us.
