About Domiciliary Care Agency
We are Hertfordshire Domiciliary Care Agency, based in Borehamwood and providing care at home across Hertfordshire. We support adults in their own houses and flats, including adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. Our work is built on a simple idea: support should fit around a person's life, not the other way round. Before anything begins we spend time with the person, and with anyone they want present, working out what would genuinely help. For some people that means practical assistance with personal care, medication, meals and household routines. For others it means support to get out to work, college or activities, to manage money and appointments, and to keep in touch with the people who matter to them. Where someone finds change, noise or unfamiliar faces difficult, we plan around that rather than expecting them to adapt. We keep support plans in a form the person can actually follow and take part in, and we review them when circumstances change rather than when a date comes round. Consistency of staff matters here more than in almost any other setting, so we protect it as far as our rota allows. Our carers are trained, supervised and expected to raise anything that concerns them straight away. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking the people we support, and their families, what could be better. If you are looking for care at home in Hertfordshire, please get in touch.
