About Aspire Support
Aspire Support is a home care agency in Hereford, supporting people in their own homes across Herefordshire. We work with older people and younger adults, including people who have a learning disability, autistic people and people living with a physical disability. Our starting assumption is that the people we support are running their own lives and we are there to make that practical. For many of the younger adults we work with, that means a tenancy of their own, control over their own money and food, and the ordinary freedoms any adult expects. Behind it sits help with personal care, cooking, managing bills, getting to appointments, travel, and the officialdom that defeats most people. We try to do as little as necessary and as much as is genuinely needed. Support that takes over is simpler to deliver and much worse for the person, so we measure ourselves partly by what people have stopped needing us for. If somebody wants to learn a bus route alone, we go with them until they no longer want us to. Herefordshire is rural and isolation is one of the biggest risks to the people we support, so getting out and staying connected is treated as part of the support rather than an extra. Where a physical disability is involved, we learn each person's preferred way of being assisted to move. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather be judged by what the people we support say about us.

More about the care at Aspire Support
Home Care at Aspire Support
West Midlands home care is typically charged at £26 to £31 an hour, a regional guide rather than this agency's own price. Aspire Support covers Herefordshire, and the county council is where an assessment and any funding would begin. The weekly figure depends on the number and length of visits, so compare those as well as the rate. The agency says it tries to do as little as necessary and as much as is genuinely needed, measuring itself partly by what people have stopped needing it for. Thera Trust holds the current registration, dated 1 October 2026. Ask about minimum visit lengths, how rotas are set and what notice a change requires.
Older Person Care at Aspire Support
A rating of good from February 2022 sits on this record, though the present registration began on 1 October 2026 and may not be the same service inspected. Aspire Support is registered for older person care in people's own homes across Herefordshire. At home that usually means help with personal care, cooking, getting to appointments and managing bills, all of which the agency lists. Its stated starting assumption is that the people it supports are running their own lives and it is there to make that practical. Ask how early and how late a visit can be arranged and who covers for an absent carer. Ask whether anything is available overnight, since rounds in home care commonly stop at bedtime.
Younger Adults at Aspire Support
Isolation is named by the agency as one of the biggest risks in a rural county like Herefordshire. Younger adults are on its registration, and getting out and staying connected is treated as part of the support rather than an extra. For a person under 65 that often means work, study or friendships rather than a timetable built for older clients. Ask how flexible visit times can be.
Learning Disability and Autism at Aspire Support
Learning disability and autism appear on this agency's registration alongside older person care and physical disability. The agency describes a tenancy of a person's own, control over their money and food, and the ordinary freedoms any adult expects. It says staff will accompany someone learning a bus route until they are no longer wanted. Ask who commissions the support and how often the plan is reviewed.
Physical Disability at Aspire Support
Herefordshire is the council that would assess needs, equipment and any adaptations. Physical disability is on the agency's registration, and because visits happen in someone's own house the equipment belongs to the household. The agency says help with personal care, travel and getting to appointments sits behind the aim of independence. Ask how carers are trained in moving and handling and how risks are recorded.
