Nisacraftcare is a home care agency based in Stanmore, supporting people across Harrow in their own homes. We work with older people and with younger adults, and our visits range from short daily calls to much fuller packages of support. A lot of our time is spent with people living with dementia. We have learnt that the day usually goes better when it is not hurried, when the same carer arrives, and when we follow the person's own rhythm rather than a schedule that suits us. We also support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with physical disabilities, and people living with mental health conditions, where the support may be as much about confidence and structure as about practical tasks. Where someone has sight or hearing loss we pay attention to the small things that make a difference. Saying who we are when we come in, describing what is on the plate, keeping belongings exactly where they were left, and making sure nothing important is communicated in a way that cannot be received. We would rather be clear than impressive. If we can help, we will say how. If we are not the right fit, we will say that too. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
