About Kanssas Home Care
We are Kanssas Home Care, a home care provider working across the London borough of Haringey and the surrounding area. We support adults in their own homes with the everyday help that makes staying there possible. Home care is not complicated work, but it is easy to do badly. It depends on turning up when you said you would, doing the job properly when nobody is watching, and treating somebody's home as theirs rather than a workplace. We take our shoes off, we put things back where they were, and we do not chat on the phone while we are with you. What we actually do depends entirely on what is needed. Help with washing and dressing, prompting or giving medication, cooking a meal, changing a bed, getting safely to the bathroom, a lift to an appointment, or simply half an hour of proper conversation for someone who does not see many people in a week. Some of the people we visit need one call a week and some need four a day. We keep our visiting teams small and local so that people see faces they know. We also keep families informed, with the agreement of the person we visit, and we raise anything that concerns us with the GP or district nurse promptly. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. We are pleased with that and we keep asking the people we visit whether we are still getting it right.
