About Acorn Complete Care
Acorn Complete Care supports people in their own homes across Haringey and the surrounding part of north London. Our work covers a wide spread of people. Older adults make up most of it, many living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic people, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability. Haringey is densely built and sharply varied, with a lot of flats, a lot of stairs and a lot of households where several generations live together or where somebody lives entirely alone. Both situations call for different things from us. In the first our job is often to take weight off a family that is quietly exhausted. In the second it is to be reliable company as well as practical help. What we actually do is help with washing and dressing, medicines, meals, housework, shopping, appointments and getting out of the house. Visits can be short and frequent or long and occasional. We aim for the same small group of workers at each address, because being let in by name is worth more than any written procedure. We will also tell you honestly when the support needed has grown past what is safe to provide at home. That conversation is kinder had early. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us and we will come out and listen first.
