About Kamino Homecare
We are Kamino Homecare, and we support people across Haringey and the surrounding parts of north London in their own homes. Much of our work is with older people who want to stay where they are, along with younger adults and people living with a physical disability who need practical help to get on with the day. Home care only works when it fits around a person rather than the other way round. Some of the people we visit want a hand first thing, with washing, dressing and getting breakfast sorted, and then prefer to be left to their own devices. Others need several calls a day, help with medication, or support to get out to appointments and back again. We agree what is needed with the person and with anyone close to them, write it down plainly, and review it when circumstances change, which in this work they often do. We try to send the same carers to the same households. Familiarity matters when someone is letting a person into their home and helping with things that feel private, and it also means small changes get noticed early, before they turn into something more serious. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are starting to think about care for yourself or for a relative, please ring us and we will explain honestly what we can and cannot do.
