About Forever Caring
Forever Caring supports people in their own homes in Winchester and across Hampshire. We visit older people, adults living with dementia, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults who need support to manage everyday life. We begin with a conversation rather than a form. What can somebody still manage, what has become difficult, what would they like their week to contain, and what would they rather we did not touch. Those answers become the plan, written in plain language, agreed with the person and with family where they want that, and changed when life changes. The work ranges from a short morning call through to several longer visits a day. Helping with washing and dressing, prompting or giving medication safely, cooking meals that are actually wanted, shopping, laundry and housework, help to get out to appointments or to see people, and proper company for anyone who might otherwise go days without a conversation. For people living with dementia we keep the same carers going in and the routine steady, because familiarity does more good than any technique. For those with sight or hearing loss it means describing what is happening, keeping things where they are expected and introducing ourselves properly each time. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please ring if you would like to talk through care at home locally.
